Growing up Jewish—Gabe in Cincinnati and Benny in Washington, D.C.—bagels weren’t just food; they were a tradition, a comfort, and a connection to our roots. Between the two of them, they’ve eaten more bagels than they’d care to admit. Bagels weren’t just breakfast—they were life.
After 20 years of living in sunny San Diego, one thing became crystal clear: this city needed better bagels. Like, real bagels. The chewy, golden, perfectly schmearable kind – So we made it our Mission to bring the real deal to America’s Finest City.
Gabe got the ball rolling during the pandemic, starting a bagel delivery and catering business that quickly earned a loyal following. Benny, forever the bagel enthusiast, was all in. Together, they decided it was time to take San Diego’s bagel game to the next level—on wheels. And so, Mission Bagel was born.
We’re bringing authentic, no-nonsense bagels and schmears to the streets, with flavors that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance.
